Terre del Sud ::: Musiche e balli tradizionali

Southern Land was founded in Abruzzo in 2003 by a group of friends united by the desire to reproduce and enhance the musical culture of southern Italy as a whole, tracing the common traits that link the different forms of expression - songs and dances - of our tradition.
Particular attention was paid to field observation of some phenomena related to the discovery by the younger generations of popular culture and its values and identity, in opposition to record industry’s standardization

Achille e i Solisti di Montemarano ::: E chi 'o murì

Achille is the legendary man who, along with his group, keeps alive Tarantella of Montemarano (the "mother of all tarantellas") and an exhaustive Hirpinia's traditional repertoire (Hirpinia is located in the mountain area behind Naples' hinterland). No fear to say ACHILLE stands for the essence of popular music itself: he is the brave ensign who brought traditional music to such a point of artistry that ancient rhythms and melodies now seem to be the result of a long experimentation in Southern Italian World Music.

Bizantina ::: Orlando tarantato

 Although BIZANTINA is based in Florence, the group style has deep roots in the Southern Italian tradition and in a powerful mix of Mediterranean and Balkanic influences, a sophisticated language already accomplished in “Zahir”, the third album. This female fronted group is leaded by stunning singer Michaela D’Astuto that features numerous striking qualities; the commanding presence of her voice and songs sets her apart, as pointed out in every press review or radio program. An impressive stage awareness and a maniac precision down to the last detail, brought BIZANTINA to compose last studio Album "ORLANDO TARANTATO" as the soundtrack of a theatre show; thanks to it the group sweeps public off his feet even in majors theatres.
