In February 1999, Umbra gaja's main project is the retrieval of a repertoire of the beginning of the XXth century still played by a particular type of brass ban performing in the Canavese zone: the "Quintëts".
With the help and counselling of Amerigo Vigliermo and the Centro Etnologico Canavesano of Bajo Dora (in the province of Turin), twenty four out of eighty different pieces were chosen for the recording of a CD entitled "Müde, trumbi e quintët". The CD, auto-produced, was presented on May First 1999 at Bajo Dora in the new C.E.C. centre
