Not a folk album at all, but Giovanna Marini has been, and still is, one of the leading performer on the Italian folk scene.
La vivazione, is part of a series of long political ballads Marini wrote and performed in the '60s and the '70s.

I have Cantate de Tous Les Jours on vinyl - it continues to amaze me all these years.
