In 2001 Riccardo Tesi was appointed with a special project at Scapoli's Festival Internazioale della zamopgna. He gathered some of the best zampogna (Southern Italy pipes) players, an Asturian piper and a Scottish one, alongside his own band and arranged some traditional material to be shown as festival's main event.
